What is the structure of an assessment?
The structure of an assessment varies based on the type, but generally includes the following components: Clinical Interview: This typically lasts between 30 and 120 minutes and involves discussing the client's history, concerns, and goals. Testing Session: This usually spans 3 to 8 hours and may be conducted over 1 to 3 days, depending on the complexity of the assessment. Feedback Session: This session, lasting 60 to 90 minutes, is used to review the results and provide recommendations. What ages do the clinicians serve?
Our clinicians provide comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and support across the lifespan, from early childhood through older adulthood. We work with children and adolescents to better understand learning, attention, and developmental concerns; adults navigating cognitive, emotional, or neurological challenges; and older adults experiencing changes in memory, thinking, or daily functioning. Whether you are seeking clarity about your child’s learning profile, evaluating cognitive changes in adulthood, or planning for healthy aging, our team offers individualized, evidence-based care tailored to each stage of life.
How long are therapy sessions?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long, but the duration may vary based on your needs and circumstances.
Do we accept insurance?
Wiest Neuropsychology is an out-of-network provider. While we do not directly accept insurance, we can provide a superbill upon request for you to submit to your insurance company. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, as it depends on your insurance provider’s policies. Based on the case, we are able to complete additional forms your insurance company may need.
Do you provide telehealth services?
Yes, we offer telehealth services for therapy, in addition to in-person appointments. For assessments, clinical interviews and feedback sessions are conducted via telehealth, while the actual testing is conducted in person.
